Student Handbook
For more than a hundred years, the Honor System at Sewanee has been a defining feature of campus life. Upon matriculation to Sewanee, students sign the Honor Code pledging not to lie, cheat or steal during the duration of their Sewanee experience. The Sewanee Honor System is unique in that is encompasses both academic and social life at Sewanee. Therefore, Honor is not only an ideal but also an obligation to the community to live honorably as a student.
Although the Honor System is a main form of governance on campus, there are several other policies and procedures in place to insure the safety and well-being of the student body.
